many players shy away from the physicality of the game of basketball. In my 80/20 Scorer DVD I go in depth on the subject of finishing off of contact. This is one of the many drills I perform with my guys to get them mentally and physically prepared to play through contact.
Whenever you go to the gym to do skill work you have to know the difference between quality and quantity. Quantity is you just putting in a ton of hours without purpose. Quality is when you have a plan and understand how to become more efficient in your work outs. In this drill we are focusing on 3 ways you can shoot the basketball. Off the dribble, catch, and screen. I love multi-skill drills like this, that prepare you to shoot in any situation.

Every success story comes with a price tag that includes hard work and persevering through disappointment. When I look back on my career I am thankful that basketball taught me that at the end of pain is victory.
